Oh my! Have I got some eye candy for you today!!
I first discovered Collins Interiors a couple of years ago when the firm was featured in Luxe Magazine’s November 2018 issue.
I was blown away by the mix of modern & antiques, the glow-y sherbet colors, and above all, the art!!!!
Cynthia Collins founded Collins Interiors in Dallas in 1992. The firm specializes in full-scale residential work all over the country, and makes frequent buying trips to Europe to source one-of-a-kind pieces to mix with newly conceived furnishings.
That eclectic-but-classic mix of styles combined with color is a recurring theme in the firm’s work.
But you just can’t miss the amazingly curated selection of art!!!!!
“I’m a big believer in art!,” Collins said in a 2013 interview. “Art is the best way to get such a diverse range of colors and mediums into your home. In most cases, great art only appreciates.”
Art is one of my absolute FAVORITE ways to find inspiration for a new space. It began this space for my own home, way back in 2016 when I was a newbie. And this piece set the tone and color scheme for the kitchen/converted porch in my Remuddle Remodel.
Below images were sourced from Collins Interiors’ Pinterest Page.
The design team often chooses softer colors or neutrals for a backdrop — even when using wallpaper. But with their more saturated hues in the art & furnishings, I don’t think you would ever accuse them of being afraid of color!!!!
In 2010, Cynthia Collins was looking to find more space to exhibit the firms art & antique finds from Europe. Together with 4 of her interior designer friends, Caroline Eastman, Leslie Jenkins, Carrie Jane Pogoloff, & Lucy Ward, Collins founded Blue Print Store, a gorgeous emporium for furnishings, accents, and art in the firm’s distinct style.
I was privileged to view Blue Print’s premier furnishings line when I was a part of the Fall 2019 High Point Design Bloggers Tour with Esteem Media just one year ago! I loved the gorgeous brown furniture in the line.
More recently, Collins’ passion for art has led to the expansion of Blue Print Store with Blue Print Gallery, with an AMAZING roster of artists, including Meghan Adams Brooks, Emily “Emyo” Ozier, Taelor Fisher, Robert Rea, & Eliza Thomas.

I don’t know who manages the firm’s Instagram account, but its tongue & cheek humor and spot-on word plays always brighten my day, even without the happy hues. You should definitely follow.

Sherbet sophistication with an artful eye. Collins Interiors for you, ladies & gentlemen!
Head over to Collins Interiors website for even more portfolio goodies. (I know, it’s tough to believe there’s anything more to see, but there is!)
